Newell Normand:

Folks, we have Matt Brown from Enterprise Staffing. He joins us and Matt today. Let’s talk about the trades and what it means to both the prospective clients for your company that you’re providing staffing for and tradesmen as well.

Matt Brown:

Well, no, let’s just talk about the trades that we actually, the workforce that we have available at the moment. Right now, we have anywhere from journeymen and electricians. We have journeyman electricians available, mechanics, helpers, and even service electricians. And we also do Class D drivers, delivery drivers, class D. We also do skilled underground pipe workers. That’s heavy construction. We also do skilled general laborers, and we also have skilled warehouse workers such as like a forklift operator and then plumbers and carpenters when available. But these are some of the people that are actively in our workforce currently.

Newell Normand:

So we understand why that works for these businesses to get more employees when they need to and also to downsize when they need to as well. But there’s also a great benefit for the tradesmen themselves, right?

Matt Brown:

Absolutely Newell. Like we had discussed last week, it gives them the ease. Not everything’s a good fit, and that’s for the customer and for the worker as well. And sometimes he might not be comfortable with that setting and we can actually have a conversation about that. And if he moves from job to job or a job ends, it can be seamless like we had discussed last week.

Newell Normand:

And that works because they’re nimble, it’s flexible, and they may be looking for that more flexible environment to work in, right?

Matt Brown:

Yeah, absolutely. It’s almost a try before you buy, and that goes for the customer and it goes for the worker as well. And I do like to use that analogy, just like test driving.

Newell Normand:

Absolutely. And it’s a win-win for everyone involved. Matt, thank you so much for joining us again today.

Matt Brown:

I’m not aware of it. A lot of your staffing companies aren’t local, so you do have some of your other ones that have locations all throughout the East Coast and through the West Coast. So those companies are excluded. But for us as a small business, Thank you Newell. Have a great day,

Newell Normand:

Folks. And that’s Enterprise Staffing. You can give Matt or Kelly a call at (504) 285-0223 or check out online at Enterprisestaffing.com.
